Reva holds master's degrees in both psychology and business, with extensive professional experience completing medical cost projections, life care plans, Medicare set-aside allocations, product development, management, and expert witness testimony for the Social Security Administration.
What is the CMCPS?
Medical Cost Projection is the process of reviewing medical records - usually covering the last two years of care - to determine the future cost of medical services. The resulting report is a condensed document estimating the items and services an injured or disabled person will, in all probability, require.
A Medical Cost Projection report can be used in mediation, settlement negotiations, and setting aside funds. It's often used in litigation; however, the definitive product for litigation and testimony is the full Life Care Plan.
Candidates approved to pursue the CMCPS come from a range of backgrounds, including Certified Life Care Planners (CLCP/CCLCP), health care professionals (case managers, disability management professionals, rehabilitation specialists, nurses, PT/OT and their assistants, physicians and physicians' assistants, chiropractors, speech therapists, social workers, and special education teachers/specialists), insurance claims adjusters, attorneys, paralegals, human resource professionals, and qualifying government employees.
