All healthcare professionals should be alert to the signs of each of these and know the laws governing the assessment and reporting of such abuse. Course Overview

Domestic violence affects many people in the United States. The term domestic violence includes child abuse, elder abuse, sexual violence, and intimate partner violence (IPV).  All healthcare professionals should be alert to the signs of each of these and know the laws governing the assessment and reporting of such abuse.
 
This class will explore the various types of domestic violence, prevention, reporting, and support and protection for those victims.
 
There is a special section specifically focused on Kentucky, the laws, and special considerations.
